Life is a busy adventure. With families always going in different directions, trying to meet a variety of deadlines, and barely having time to sit down to dinner together, it’s obvious that when you grab a snack it probably isn’t a healthy one. The quickest, most convenient, snacks are often times loaded with sugar, salt, and preservatives that you can’t even pronounce. So, how do you make the time to enjoy healthy snacks with such a busy life?

Following are a few different snacks you can try.

TIP: Add ground flaxto your organic Greek yogurt to get in some omegas. Omegas are great for your heart, skin, hair and eyes!

These healthy snacks are filling and you can grab them when you’re in a rush.

Breakfast To-Go

Breakfast to-go sounds nice, doesn’t it? Especially if it’s a healthy one!

How many mornings do you get the chance to wake up, have a leisurely morning, and choose between a variety of healthy breakfast options. Not many, right? If you’re like the average working person, you’re up and about, rushing around trying to make school lunches (or tend those precious pets!) and get anyone else in your household going in the direction they’re supposed to be going. You have to grab everything you need for the day, somehow squeeze in a shower and time to get ready, and then you’re out the door yourself - most times without even considering a healthy breakfast, right?

Here’s a few ideas to help you (quickly) enjoy a healthy breakfast each morning:

  • Stock up on organic Greek yogurt - it’s chock full of protein and calcium, is very filling, and delicious, too!
  • Prepare steel cut oats the night before. Reheat them in the morning and throw on a few raw nuts, ground flax, or your favorite (healthy) toppings.
  • Keep boiled eggs on hand. Eat a couple when you’re running late.
  • Make an omelet or scrambled eggs the night before. Reheat them in the morning. You could even make a breakfast wrap by putting either the omelet or scrambled eggs in a low-carb tortilla.

All of the above ideas are filling, healthy, and great for eating on the run. Enjoy!

Rebounding for Health and Weight Loss

Rebounding is such a fun way to get in a few minutes of exercise each day. You can work your way up to 30 minutes or even an hour, or you can just hop on and jump for as little as 2-5 minutes at a time throughout the day.
ReboundingRebounding can be done while watching TV as well, so it’s an amazing way to squeeze in some healthy exercise for that couch potato! And, once you get up off that sofa and start rebounding, you’ll discover you almost feel like a school child on the playground. It really is that fun!

A few health benefits of rebounding (when done regularly):

  • promotes a healthy bowel by enhancing digestion and the elimination process
  • cleanses the lymphatic system
  • increases lung capacity
  • has been known to improve eyesight
  • promotes weight loss
  • results in lost inches
  • strengthens the immune system
  • decreases circulating cholesterol and triglyceride levels
  • gets oxygen to the tissues
  • helps repair tissue

Again, these are just a few of the health benefits of rebounding. Most of all, rebounding is fun and is easy on the joints. So, if you, or someone you know, is suffering from joint pain this is the exercise to try!

Resources: Order Rebounders online and have them shipped right to your door!

NOTE: I’ve lost over 100 pounds and rebounding has been a part of that process. Rebounding wasn’t the only aspect of my journey, but for me, it has been instrumental.
